AIG ZONE 2 EXPRESSES DISPLEASURE IN UNNECESSARY/PROLONG DETENTION, DELVING INTO CIVIL MATTERS

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone 2 Command, *AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade* while commending officers and men of the Zone 2 Command for their efforts and commitment in the fight against crime and criminality also emphasized the need to maintain a high level of professionalism in the discharge of their statutory duties.

The AIG did not only warn against unnecessary/prolong detention of suspects but also delving into civil matters while he stress the need for accountability: as each and every one will be accountable for their actions and inactions in the protection of the rights of citizens who they’ve been called to protect.
The lecture was not drawn to a close until he had talked about eschewing all forms of corrupt practices, he also urged officers to be proactive and effective as they proceed in the service to the humanity.
